about

NEO-09

A decaying excursion through sex and violence, examining the unhealthy relationships that victims of abuse can often have with sexual intimacy and how it can devolve into vicious cycles of abuse and self-harm.

The first work, The Responsible Abuse of Pleasure, is about the establishing of that unhealthy relationship as a toxic coping mechanism for some past trauma/s, and falling deeper into it.

The second work, It Was Only Skin Deep, Yet I Felt It In My Soul, is about the traumas experienced through this process, and the impacts it has on one's mental health and quality of life.

This series is intended to be two works, however due to Bandcamp's upload limit, I am forced to upload the two works in multiple parts. I have attempted to split them at points where it feels most natural.
